Privacy Policy
How GetWebCT collects, uses, and protects information from visitors and clients.
1. Who We Are
GetWebCT is operated by Datatik LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect through getwebct.com and our related services (the "Site," "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly: quote-request form submissions (your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and your message); onboarding form details, if you become a client (business name and type, business phone, email and address, service area, desired domain, page content, brand preferences, and any files you upload such as a logo, photos or a product list — including product data and images for eCommerce clients); and anything you send us by email or phone.
Information collected automatically: when you submit a form on this Site, our server records the submission together with your IP address, a timestamp, and which page and button you started the form from, so an inquiry isn't lost if email delivery fails and so we know what you were looking at when you reached out. We do not log your IP address on ordinary page views — only when you submit a form.
The Site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use it — pages viewed, approximate location (city or region level, not precise location), device and browser type, and referral source. We do not run advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking on this Site. For clients whose Google Business Profile we manage, Google provides us with interaction data for that profile.
We do not take payments through this Site. There is no checkout, and we never ask for card or bank details through any form here. Client invoices are handled separately, outside the Site.
3. How We Use Information
To respond to inquiries and provide quotes, deliver and support the Services you've engaged us for, bill for ongoing plans, improve the Site and our marketing, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
4. Cookies & Analytics
The Site sets two kinds of cookie and no others:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — measures traffic and how the Site is used.
- A short-lived session cookie — set only when you submit a form, to stop accidental repeat submissions. It is not used to track you.
There are no advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking cookies on this Site. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit using Google's browser opt-out add-on. Because we do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing for a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal to opt you out of — but if we ever add advertising tracking, we will update this policy and add a consent control before doing so.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate this Site and deliver our services: our web hosting and email providers, and Google (for Google Analytics on this Site, and for Google Business Profile where we manage a client's profile). For eCommerce clients, information you give us for your store is shared with the platform you choose (Shopify or WooCommerce).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use an advertising network, a data broker, or a customer-data platform on this Site.
6. Data Retention
Quote requests are kept in our email and in a server-side submission log while we follow up and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick up a conversation you started. Onboarding details and any files you upload are kept for as long as we are working on your project and afterwards while we support the site we built, or to meet legal and accounting obligations. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting on our Analytics property. You can ask us to delete what we hold at any time — see section 7.
7. Your Choices
Whether or not a privacy law requires it of a business our size, you can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what information we hold about you,
- give you a copy of it,
- correct anything that's wrong, or
- delete it.
Email hello@getwebct.com and we'll respond within 45 days. There is no charge, and we won't treat you differently for asking. If you're not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can contact the Connecticut Attorney General's office.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors, and we do not offer any feature designed for or targeted at them. If you believe a minor has given us information, email hello@getwebct.com and we will delete it.
9. Third-Party Links
The Site and client sites we build may link to third-party sites. We aren't responsible for those sites' privacy practices.
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
